1. Hasn’t moss been around for ages? What’s new about yours?
A. It smells good! We've combined the traits of organic, fresh moss with the beautiful scent of patchouli. Our moss grows like moss, looks like moss, and is totally safe for your family - it’s a harmonious way of freshening up your family’s air.
2. How do I care for my moss?
A. The moss doesn't need a lot of care and attention, the most important thing is to make sure it get's enough water so that it doesn't dry out. It's best cared for indoors in a place which get's indirect sunlight. Bathrooms work great.
3. How did you make the moss?
A. We started with the patchouli synthase gene which is typically expressed in the flowers of the Patchouli plant. Using software we then designed a DNA sequence which would allow the gene to be expressed well in moss and inserted that DNA sequence into our strain of moss. The result is a strain of moss which naturally expresses the patchouli gene and smells amazing.
4. How do you grow your moss?
A. Our moss grows naturally in a greenhouse until its ready for shipment. Once it reaches you, it just needs water and sunlight. - it will continue to grow as long as it has the right temperature and nutrients and you can repot it to keep it alive longer.
5. What’s it smell like?
A. Our first moss strain has the popular, refreshing scent of patchouli, with just a hint of that rich, green smell of damp earth. We are working to expand the range of fragrances
6. Is it safe?
A. Our moss is non-allergenic, pet and child safe. Unlike traditional air fresheners it emits no volatile organic chemicals, no phthalates, and no allergens.
7. How long does it last?
A. As long as it gets enough (but not too much) sunlight, water and CO2 the moss will last as long as you want.
8. What are the differences between fragrant moss and conventional air fresheners?
A. Our moss uses no electricity. While plug-in type air fresheners which use up to half a gallon of oil in electricity per year and require constant refills (costing you every month), our air freshener is powered by sunlight.

C. Our product produces no harmful byproducts like VOC chemicals or phalates.
9. Are you developing any other natural products?

10. What license is the moss sold under?
A. The rights to the moss are licensed under a patent owned by the University of Copenhagen as a result there are some restrictions. Specifically you cannot resell the moss or use it commercially for any purpose and it is forbidden to purify the moss to extract essential oil from it.
11. I’m interested in your moss for a project of mine. Can I….
